Luftrum Axion for the Dark ZebraA soundset to pinch the jugular vein, stretch the imagination and pause the brain. Axion, a dark, distorted and tense release, is perfectly suited to set the scene of your next thriller, crime fiction or spy flick…
Axion continues, where Solaria left off, taking you on an edgy ride, blurring the boundaries between reality and Nordic Noir fiction, immersing you in atmospheric and dystopian sounds perfect for any underscore situation that requires dramatic pulses, grungy bass lines, distorted keys and dark pads to striking impacts and eerie soundscapes.
Beneath the surface of the soundset, unfolds a cinematic assortment of 170 signature sounds for the Dark Zebra synth. The presets are all crafted by Sonic Underworld and curated by Luftrum.
Music by Ludwig Göransson (Tenet) Jóhann Jóhannsson, Hildur Guonadóttir (Trapped), Petur Ben (The Valhalla Murders), and Etienne Forget (The Forest) are among the key influences of this startling set, providing a nail-biting, yet thrilling experience. Axion is the perfect companion to support your next cinematic adventure.
Axion is fully NKS compatible, relevant for users of Komplete Kontrol hardware by Native Instruments. It includes tagged NKS presets, NKS audio previews and comes sorted in an Axion subbank, separating them from other Zebra2 presets. All presets leave a few dB headroom. Included is a PDF guide, describing how to install the set and where to place the NKS presets. All presets have X/Y assignments for further exploring and the modwheel and aftertouch is used for additional expression.
Axion requires the Dark Zebra to load, which is a custom and special built version of Zebra 2, with over 400 presets, created for Hans Zimmer, who used the sounds in The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises soundtracks. Dark Zebra requires a Zebra 2 license.
The background image of the soundset cover is created by graphic designer and digital artist Jonas Fornerod and licensed with full permission. All sounds in the demos below are from Axion.
